Dream

I dreamed of reaching one million kids with a positive message … I reached 1.6 million. How many more kids can I reach through my books? I’m dreaming of a an inconceivable number … #dream #BeTheBuddy #BookerWeed

Restoration Convoy

Restoration Convoy is our daughter’s non-profit. Here’s what her big sis had to say about it …

“My sister and her husband have a non-profit in the Tri Cities that blesses homeless teens with a senior photo session, plus a makeover, new clothes, and other special necessities. Their prayer is that the teens feel a sense of normalcy—or even more than that: a sense of value. Their program is growing and they are looking for donations to renovate their RV so that they can take the outreach on the road. And they’ve got the big goal to raise enough to fund the project in ONE DAY. Please visit their page and consider donating!”

Please consider impacting the life of a sheltered youth and help get this Airstream on the road with a small donation … thanks so much!

Be The Buddy

I was a fighter. Survival of the fastest runner if I was losing. Fists flying, lots of yelling, and hearts pounding! Life was always in panic mode then it all made sense.

Of course I was older & wiser with a beautiful family of my own and the best job anyone could imagine traveling the globe with just a yoyo and a heart for kids.

4,000 kids a week, 160,000 kids annually, and 1.6M kids later it was clear. I had what it takes to make good choices but growing up I had no one constructive in my life.

#BeTheBuddy is a theme #BookerWeed promotes daily. Encourage kids to read, journal, and chase their dreams. Click About Me and discover what cultivates the landscape of a child’s future.

No matter what’s happening at home, in your neighborhood, or with your friends you have what it takes to make good choices!

What is Good

I’m reminded I grew up in a bad environment, drugs, alcohol, abuse of many sorts but it was the good that kept my focus. Oh sure, things got fuzzy or out of focus at times but I looked at what was good.

I found positive things to clear the fuzzies, and worked at staying focused. School was my safe place from sun up to sun down. I learned from mistakes and examples, not necessarily my own and I avoided #theblamegame.

Oh sure there were many things I could have blamed then followed the same path or followed a bad path and played the blame game but life is an adventure and I wanted to win on the side of good.

It is “What is Good” that I follow today, my wife – #mygoodthing, the #Bible calls her, my kids, grandkids, and smiles of the kids I have the Devine assignment of ministering to.

“What is Good” is not a question it’s a statement of what I pursue and it starts with II Peter 1. Give it a try …
